I have a lot of experience with addiction. The most important thing is to smash through your denial.
Now I doubt you have deep seated emotional problems or that your addiction is making your life so unmanageable that you need professional help but it’s still worth doing some work around it.
Let me tell you about my experience with drugs and alcohol. If I have a sip of a beer, a line of Coke, a smoke of heroin, or any chemical I will keep going until I pass out, or get in trouble. I spent years and years trying to control all these things until it all got too much and a stopped fighting it. I have fully surrendered to the fact that once I pick up, I don’t put down. And it’s so damaging to my life that I choose to never pick up.
This can be applied to Internet addiction too.
Just admit that once you pick it up, you know full well that’s the rest of the day gone.
