MIT was established in 1957, while MUJ was established in 2011. So yes, there’ll be a difference. But it’s fair to say that MUJ is closing down the gap fast. Most of the things are better at MIT, but there are many things that are better at MUJ too. As a young university, it’s showing great promise and can already boast of remarkable placement stats, an overall good faculty, a plethora of active clubs and chapters, and an awesome coding culture.
And remember, there’s an exponential growth in all the above mentioned fields every year. So by the time you graduate, all these things will become even better.
MUJ has the backing of the Manipal group, and is also possibly being benefited by the “Institute of Eminence” status of MIT. Apart from this, the Rajasthan Govt. is extending its full support too. This is evident by the setting up of AIC(Atal Incubation Centre) in MUJ. So, there’s nothing to stop it from reaching new heights.
Having said all this, MIT is admittedly currently better than MUJ. If you’re getting your desired branch at MIT, go ahead and take it. But if you’re not, MUJ is definitely a good option. A lot of opportunities will be presented to you at MUJ, but it’s up to you to take them, and achieve your goals.
Having spent 1 year here now, I’ve seen the rate at which things are scaling up, and the opportunities that are available, and I was amazed and excited at the same time. Because if you want to learn and grow, you’ll find yourself at home at MUJ.
The senior-junior equation at MUJ is unlike no other. Everyone is ready to help you. You just have to ask for it. Moreover, the MUJ campus is a “ragging-free zone”. I have never even heard of any ragging taking place here.
Adding to it, with all the facilities and resources available in the hostel area, you’ll feel at home in no time.
