My answer will be biased towards SNU and that’s only because I have completed an year here and I have literally fallen in love with the place. I am listing below a few reasons why SNU should be your place to be at.
- Flexible Curriculum- SNU is a one of a kind college with a unique course structure. Like other colleges in India, you won’t find a fixed schedule which everyone has to follow. SNU provides you with the flexibility of choosing the courses that you like. With this freedom, also comes the freedom of deciding your schedule. If you’re not a morning person, you can take the courses whose classes are held in the day time or evening. Also, here you can take up courses from different departments. So, if you’re an Economics major, you can still take up courses from Management. Thus, you can pursue your interest in different fields without any restrictions.
- Faculty- Be rest assured about the faculty at SNU. You’ll find some of the most amazing professors here who are highly qualified. From my personal example, I took up a course in International Governance and Development Studies. My professor, Kaveri Gill has studied from Cambridge University and has worked for the Planning Commission. So, the experience that you get when you learn from such people is invaluable. Also, the professors here are very approachable and you can talk to them freely.
- Sports- When I say that SNU has world class sport facilities, I mean it. We have everything from flood lighted synthetic courts of baksetball to tennis, cricket ground, football ground and volleyball courts. Recently, the Indoor Sports Complex came up where we have a Unisex gym, wooden basketball court, badminton court, Table tennis, Chess, fitness centers etc. Other than the playing spaces, the best thing about SNU Sports is that we have teams here for every sport. And, every year auctions are held where the team captains buy the players.
