It becomes a bit tricky if you compare which institute has ‘ higher average salaries’. It depends.
If the NIT is prestigious and top7 one ( T,W,S,C,A,RK) then the avg placement is better at NIT.
In case of the good and middle rung NITs ( 7–15 rank) the placements are similar to VIT .
In case of the new and below par NITs , VITs placement is much better . Both in number of companies and number of students placed with high CTC.
This year alone , the placements of 2018 batch have begun in a good note.
