PES university is more of study oriented and RVCE is more of all round development
PES University will give their own degree while RVCE will give VTU degree
Placements etc are almost similar
You will get a lot of opportunities to get 7 figure salary jobs in either of these colleges provided you maintain decent CGPA
Only thing PESU has 10 CSE sections while RVCE has 3+1 CSE/ISE sections so competition in PESU is higher ( hardly makes a difference as after October most of the good students are already placed and if you are not placed till then you will get a lot of opportunities to get a dream job )
You can definitely take PESU with your eyes closed if you are not getting RVCE
