Which engineering has more scope, computer science or information technology?

  • 0

Thanks for the A2A.

Shortly and sweetly, Both have same scopes.

Let us revise the concepts behind the both:

  • Computer Science Engineering: Development of various Computing Hardware, algorithms and related software as well as techniques which will make the Computing as a Method as well as industry, reliable, cost-effective, energy-efficient and stable.
  • Information Technology: Development of rich end-user experiences and application of the techniques, algorithms and hardware developed by Computer Science Industry.

Just like Farmer produces the Grains (Analogous to Electronics and Telecommunications industry), Food Processing Companies produces Flour from the wheat (Analogous to Computer Science and Engineering) and your mom cooks delicious food out of the Flour (Analogous to Information Technology); each of these streams are highly interdependent and can do other streams jobs after some extra learning. So, CSE, ECE and IT industry are three pillars of the same chair (I don’t know the other, maybe consumers) and will not be able to stand if the existence of any one ceases
