I forgot my laptop bag in a public transport bus.
After a 2 week long leave to attend my sister’s wedding at Hyderabad, I was on my way back to Bangalore by bus. The bus reached Hebbal at 7 AM. Since the bus was going through the city to reach my destination, I decided to get down at Hebbal and take a BMTC bus to K.R. Puram so that I can reach my room by 8:15 A.M. At this point, I had a really heavy hand bag and my Laptop bag on me to carry. A Hebbal to Silkboard bus came in.
I boarded the blue Vajra(Volvo) bus, went back to the last window seat, turned all the AC towards me and started listening to my travel songs playlist. All my attention was on the heavy hand bag next to my feet as this was the first time I was carrying one (usually I .rar all my clothes and laptop in my laptop bag itself). Little did I know that I actually placed my laptop bag next to the seat next to me(meaning, there is an empty seat between me and my laptop bag). The bus started and got filled up in the subsequent stops. The entire journey I was in my headphones-on-FTW! mode.
I got down at K.R.Puram, boarded a private mini-van and got down at Hoodi, walked for 5 minutes to reach my PG, got on the elevator to reach my room, sat on my bed, started chatting with my roommates(notice my absent minded-ness!). Now comes the most embarrassing part of the story, I did not realise that I forgot my bag with my laptop in it until one of my roommate asked about the other bag I took home.
