COMEDK wasn’t supposed to be my way to glory. My actual path was going to be through Mains and Advanced. However I unluckily screwed Mains up so bad that I was scared I might not even be able to attempt Advanced. So I went for secondary exams, namely VITEE, BITSAT and COMEDK. The prep strategy is pretty standard. As long as you have prepared for any competitive exam, say Mains, you’re set. For COMEDK specific prep, just buy a book full of previous papers, and start solving it aggressively. You do not have a lot of time left, so solve as much each day as you can. Learn to make intelligent guesses, because it doesn’t have negative marking. Get faster. And most importantly, get used to the questions. COMEDK doesn’t even hesitate to give you IIT-JEE questions from the late 90s. If you try to solve them firsthand, no way in hell it’s possible to do it under five minutes. In that case, having seen that question before really comes in handy. So, in simpler terms, just solve lots of papers. It’s the best advice.
