What is the ideal time to book SRM university hostels so that I could get good room?

As soon as the portal opens after your counseling is over. Try to ignore the rooms at the end or starting of the row of rooms since they have poor WiFi reception. Also ignore ground, 1st and 9th floor (3rd to 6th floor would be ideal). Best of luck.
