If I would have to give a true feedback for Lovely Professional University, it doesn’t have a good startup culture and they also don’t have any student venture which can actually be called a startup by definition, something which is solving a problem.
According to students, and and the University, startup is open food stalls, tailor shop, traveling company or other non innovative businesses. And if we go deep, these are mostly the students who got so many backlogs in subjects and eventually they end up doing both simultaneously, studies and business, for many years of their life.
Support: I know many students who come up with a really good idea but in the end the University interrupts as it will not lead to their profit. They don’t even have eligible people who can understand and figure out the impact of the idea. They do have startup school and other stuff but only for making fool out of the people and earning good amount of money from it as well.
Showcase: I checked on Internet and did some research anyone, which anyone else can as well, which shows that the University describes that it is their students’ startup which is a ticketing company in the US, which is started by an LPU student, who graduated around 12 years ago, even though he went on to do higher degrees after LPU and then even worked a 10 year job.
