What are the differences between computer science and information engineering?

The difference is just of 4-8 subjects out of 40 and rest the syllabus is same in B.Tech . Both of the branches are considered equivalent at few places. You can check the syllabus of any university and find what’s the different subjects.
We can also say that cutoff of CSE goes higher than IT.
