You have to play safe with the campus goons. The relatives of the owner of the SRM University. They will beat and go to any extent if you do not pay money or try to show that you are smart. The staff are no better. All of them are from SRM University and from self financing colleges of Anna University and Satyabhama University. Please see the anguish of one of my classmates. He is an intellectual and never saw such a good student. Just because he is a north Indian, he is bullied and lost his interest in studies due to the goons of SRM University. He is disturbed by relatives of T.R.Pachamuthu, the cheating chancellor. He heads a party IJK, a party of casteist goons of odayrs.

The incident was when I took admission in SRM University. It was my 2nd or 3 rd month here in Chennai I don’t exactly remember. I made a few friends on the campus and we used to hang out a lot there was a girl who was really pretty and we were having a nice time but, we didn’t had anything more than friends and everything was going smoothly but one day a Tamil guy came to me said ,”You talk to that girl quite a lot northie, you are in our state it’s not your home stay away from her or you gonna have a hard time studying here”. The guy started to bully me as I talked to my friend who he used to like I guess more or less and every time he used to came to me he was always with a bunch of guys who were so called college goons and used to give me threats even after I stopped talking to her.
The problem is they unnecessarily try to justify their superiority and that’s the worst part of studying in Tamil Nadu. As my father is an ex. military personnel I had studied in various states across India but never had this much difficulty in getting adjusted to surroundings.
We are living in this state away from our homes just to pursue a degree not by our self driven desire to dethrone them from their home state. The attitude of the local students is really worst.
Even the professor’s attitude in this reputed institution is way more lenient towards the locals than the other state people. We work our asses off to maintain the attendance, records, credits and the other stuff but still, I don’t feel its worth it. In my 3rd semester they gave the credit of my project to some senior guy who was a local and when I complained about it they always told me to talk to this teacher, talk to that teacher and in the end nothing happened. They seized my mobile phone out of no reason saying I was using mobile in class but I wasn’t and when I went to take it back after a week they asked me money Rs.500 to return it out of no fucking reason. Once marked me absent for 3 days continuous even when I attended the lectures and I had to argue a lot and had to go to the hod and went through a lot of headache to get back the attendance. They brag a lot about how great they are but standard of teaching and facilities and nothing more than shit and there’s cannot be anything worst that living here for 4 fucking years in my life!
There were even times I thought of just dropping out but my family didn’t supported to it as they always think I’m being homesick. Being in SRM since past 3 years and in Tamil Nadu will be the worst ever years of my life and I regret each and every day for taking admission here.
Now even my marks are also starting to reflect that trauma I’m facing here, from 7.5 and 8.2 in the Ist and IInd semester my last two semester scores are 6.4 and 5.5 and I’m almost losing hope to ever get a decent placement or to even get a degree.
People push themselves towards greater career after getting into a reputed college and I’m being pushed deep and deep inside a huge pile of shit. Utter Shit!!!
