Whether, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil, the same advice for all 1st year students.
- Stay in a hostel at least for the first semester. You will need time to settle down in a new city. Hostel and Friends will ease out the pressure.
- Academics is tough. So, don’t ignore subjects like Mathematics and Chemistry. Backlogs are a common thing. And, if you get a backlog, you will have to attend Summer School for 21 days after 2nd Semester Examination, during vacations, at a time, when your friends will be at home enjoying their summer vacation.And of course, the extra Rs.4000, you have to shell out for the Summer School and Supplementary.
- Either stay close to college (Bidholi region) or far away from the college (Prem Nagar, Suddhowala) region. Don’t stay in between (Paundha, Silver Heights Region). Transportation will be a big problem. You will thank me later for the advice.
- This is a ragging free campus. So, never feel shy to complain if you face any incidents.
- It rains a lot here. During the rainy season you need to carry your umbrella.
- Your ID Card and Uniform. If you are not in proper uniform you won’t be allowed to enter the campus (Unless you stay in Campus Hostel).
