Hey Buddy!
Last year at the same time I was in your shoes and had the same choice as you do. So, I did my research and by the help of one of the teacher in my Coaching I was able to find contact of one of the PhD. Fellow who was doing his PhD. in CS at IITI. I asked him Should I take IITI CE ? (I didn’t mention anything about IITP) here is his response: “Aren’t you getting anything else? Because CE here is quite new and they have very few labs and equipment as compared to other branches and the First Batch hasn’t passed yet So, you won’t get any guidance from your Seniors as even they don’t have much idea of Outside world and scopes.” So after listening to this I immediately switched to IITP EE.
I can assure you about IITP EE that You won’t regret on your decision. EE at IITP is one of the best UG Branches. You will have variety of options to opt after 4 years whether it be in Core Electrical, Electronics, Coding, Open Source Development, Further Studies, Research then there are other fields like ML, IoT (which are interdisciplinary to both EE and CSE), you name it. As EE is one of the oldest branches of IITP (which started in 2008), we have a well established Alumini network in which people have done amazing work and are at very good position in pretty much every field that I mentioned above. We have got Advanced Electrical Lab, Basic/Analog/Digital Lab, Communication Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Embedded System Lab, Instrumentation and Control Lab, Optical Communication and Networking Lab, RF & Microwave Lab, VLSI Design Lab, Sensor Networks Lab, Signal Processing for Wireless Communication Lab, you name it. Which means that you will get every required facility. We have a well established Club called Sparkonics, which is an active Club here. Professors here, like any IIT are well qualified and supportive.
