My personal suggestion would be that you should follow your heart instead of only the brain while trying to reach to a decision.

Thanks for the A2A.

Spoiler : I will not take this decision for you.

Note: I am an Indrastha University alumini (2002 MCA university campus).

Not many might like my approach for this answer.

I would recommend that you watch a movie called “Goodwill Hunting” before taking this decision.

Now I see parents and children these days weating it out at a very early age when it comes to deciding about education. But when I check the stats, most of the successful people either didnt go to school or were dropouts or went to schools/colleges that were insignificant.

YES a very good college gives you a head start towards success but then finally it depends on the individual what direction he/she gives to life.

My personal suggestion would be that you should follow your heart instead of only the brain while trying to reach to a decision.

Never drop a year, instead if you think you wanna prepare again then join graduation college in DU but never fully drop a year.
