I am not from Civil branch, but I had frnds doing M.Tech St. Engg. with me in VIT in the 2015–17 batch. So….. I cant comment on the teachers but these points may help……
1-Good exposure in various domains.Like many clubs and events are there.
2-My frnds were doing their internship from IISc-Banglore, some IIT and companies like LnT. So their dean and teachers do take efforts to place students in better places it seems.
3-Placements:here the scene is a bit poor. Few core companies visiting VIT allow the M.Tech students to sit for their rounds.
4-You will get to do many projects in the new CAL type curriculum.
