As compared to other departments, the School of Architecture at VIT is smaller in strength as it offers only a UG programme, B. Arch. Therefore, the faculty members care for the growth of every student. Faculty members have expertise in various areas of Architecture, giving the student an opportunity to learn and acquire quality knowledge and skills. The environment offered at VIT by the architecture department is so lively and engaging.
Students are given world-class facilities to learn the various areas of the architecture. VIT offers world-class education and facilities, because of which there are students from across the globe enrolled for various programmes. Laboratories and studios are also digitalized meeting all the necessities of the students to do practical sessions.
The department focuses on providing multi-dimensional thinking and the students are equipped with knowledge from other fields of architecture like bio-inspired designing, psychology along with the regular planning and designing. There are a lot of inter-disciplinary interactions through various projects, workshops and conferences, especially with the civil, mechanical engineering students which widen the skills of an architecture student.
