Well if you are asking about Bachelor’s in Engineering degree, there is only one way possible that is through the competitive exam. Though the rank can go a little lower than the usual in the spot round but there is no scope for admission in management quota. They will rather prefer one seat left blank in a particular department rather than having a candidate from management quota.
The seats which are left even after spot rounds is filled up by the students who wants to switch department after a year. YES, there is scope for that. One can change their department that what is allocated provided their CGPA is upto the mark and there is seat left in that department. Generally, the toppers of the department get this privilege to switch between departments.
