Is LNMIIT improving or degrading?

  • 0

First of all, I would request the 1st year students to stop answering the question related to placements or the Grading criteria.

Do you even know what percentage of students are eligible for sitting in placement? If don’t, have a look at the institute’s website. Most of the students are not even eligible to sit for campus placements.

Let us look at one of my friend’s case.

My friend was average in academics and good in coding. He always managed to pass till 4th sem but in the 5th sem, he got failed in one of the subjects (by very few marks). So now he has to clear it before 7th sem to be eligible to sit for the placements. He requested college authorities, faculties to give him one more chance by offering the course in summers. But due to less no of students interested in repeating the course in summers, they denied.

Now he is not eligible to sit for the campus placement and also since he is not a pro coder, his chance for off-campus placements are very less. He chose LNMIIT over other colleges because of the placement stats of the college. Now he doesn’t have many options left with him.

I know that it’s his fault for getting failed but is it right to change the grading policy in the middle of the semester. Also, Don’t he deserve another chance to repeat the course for which he was working hard from the past 3 years? How is he going to repay the loan that he has taken?
