According to my opinion, it is not worth it.
See the knowledge you get to learn in engineering colleges is highly proportional to how much self study you do.
Professors or lab experiments aren’t that helpful for technologies outside your course. And course i guess isn’t updated for years in private engineering colleges.
So how many YouTube tutorials you watch, how many LinkedIn learning lessons you complete is how far you know the latest technology.
So you pay approx 20 lacs for a degree, plus hostel, mess etc etc and then you pay for coachings. After all this also you end up having just degree and a job in hand ( high chances if you opt for CS/IT branch) which would not even pay back all this amount in a year ahead.
So better is, join some local engineering college, don’t run behind brand names of private sector colleges. All are same.
Brush up your technical skills, get a decent paying job as a fresher from campus placements, side by side give e-litmus or amcat, make jumps and there you’re.
Trust me you’ll get back all the expenses of your engineering degree, hostel, mess etc etc.
Crack exams, prove your skills and nobody would ever ask if you did a BTech or BE from any private college.
