I don’t know, if it is worth to take a BTech in Computer Science in SRM University or not. But, what I do feel is you will enjoy your campus life there. You will meet different people,with different mindset and you will get to learn a lot from there.
The studies are as good as you pursuit it. You won’t find somebody spoon-feeding you and telling you to read and to be serious. But, if you have a die hard love for Computers, then I feel you can find your spot in any college. Yes, do focus on your branch, see if you really love it? And if the answer is yes, then good.
SRM will not in any case going to help you to follow your dream, let me make this very clear to you and no other university will, it is you who will make it. I know this answer is turning out vague,but this is the truth every young gun of India has to face.
To answer your next question about the scope at SRM, I am not sure which scope your are talking about, scope of getting educated, scope of projects, scope of learning , or I believe, which I think you will also second it is the scope of PLACEMENT. Yes, SRM has got ample opportunities for youngsters like you to get placed. All good IT companies offering good jobs to you guys. So, you can find a decent job after finishing your 4 years.
But, do think, is that what you all wanted to do?, Is that you love engineering or computer science in particular, if yes! then SRM is gold to you. Don’t focus on placement when you are in SRM, people always do that mistake, which I have observed, focus on yourself, who you really are and what you aspire to become. The education is not the ultimate goal , it is a tool to help you reach your goal. Read well, and join the SRM(or any other college) with that intention.
