Depends on your branch of interest. In case, if you are not interested in any branch, then without a second thought go for NITS. First of all, NIT Silchar is not a low ranked NIT. It was started in the year 1967 and has been ranked 16th among all 31 NITs. NITs have their own brand value and they are institutes of national importance. If you are a south indian and have any concern over the location then you can opt for VIT Vellore. If you do not have any concern over the location, then just opt for NITS.
