It depends on your current status is and also on what you would like to achieve through WILP.
I don’t think its a great idea if you have gone to top 7 IIT and had got a degree with a presidents award during your graduation.
I was a WILP Teaching Assistant for more than 2 semesters at BITS (While I was doing my graduation ). I think its a great program with immense potential. But people don’t take it seriously as they are sponsored by their company or mandated by their company.
WILP is taught by the same faculty as the ones who handle the classes at BITS. You have more flexibility in this as this is available on demand and you have teachers from across the campus.
Please focus on your learning rather than being worried about its impact. Its going to help you in some way. Its not the course thats going to make the impact its you who is going to make that. Take it positively and go for it (You have not listed other options, so consider other options choose the one that fits your need)
