With Anna university name, i believe you are mentioning about College of Engineering, Guindy, the old prestigious institution in India. Basically i am not from Computer science background but i am 2014 passed out batch of CEG. And i have some friends who are from CS who have really turned out well.
People in CS get humongous placement opportunities. I have seen my friends get placed in Cisco, groupon, microsoft, oracle,… and top tier companies in oncampus placement.
