OK.Here is the truth…!!
I am final year CSE guy passing out this year.Here are details…
1. This year ,in CSE,there were near 35o students in total.But,only 210-220 were allowed to sit.
So,where have 120-something students gone??
I. Eligibility criteria:
If you are having even one arrear,then,you are not eligible to participate in any company’s placement procedure.Criteria goes like this,one should have 60%+ in 10th,12th and above 6 cgpa till 6th semester.
II.Some student opt out of placements because they do have plans to go for higher studies.
2. All the core companies kept two criterias:
(a).Either you should have 80% in 10th,12th and 8+ cgpa,
(b) Or,you should be in top 20% of the eligible students i.e. in top 40 students of department ….it means to have a 8.75 something cgpa or above.
3. Stats:
Near 30-40 students got offers of near 4.5 LPA.Near 10 may be in 5-6 LPA category.All else are placed in 3 companies-Cognizant,Infosys or Wipro giving 3-3.5 LPA.
So,only 180-190 get placements out of 330-350 .(100 % advertisements are all fake!!)
Average Salary:3.5 LPA(too low)
