I’m a Computer Engineering student. How can I become an AI expert?

  • 0

Check what AI really stands for in Computer Science world. Is it promising for you? Is it exciting enough to make you study hard and never get bored? Is it the thing you are born to do?

AI in Computer Science differs a great deal from the popular Terminator stuff. It has a mathematical background and and depending on what is going to be your goal to achieve, it can be really hard and boring sometimes.

So, after a mature search on the internet on what AI really means in Computer Science world, if you understand what you are getting into here is what you need to do pretty much to become an AI expert:

  1. Find a suitable course in internet (Patrick Winston’s course on MIT Opencourseware is an amazing option for starters as it has many subjects through course and he is one of the living titans of theoretical AI)
  2. Study the theory from a book. I must add that Nillson’s book is a masterpiece.
  3. Discover what excites you the most
    1. Is it Neural Networks?
    2. Or Support Vector Machines?
