I studied CSE at IITI and had some friends in IITP. It’s more about the students activities and groups that shape your career than the faculty or curriculum. IIT Indore is better in this front as compared to IITP. IIT Indore has a well functional programming group. IITI has topped several ACM ICPC contests and this practice is passed on to juniors. Senior junior interaction is great as far as CSE is concerned.
PS: I got CSE IITP back in 2010, but opted for further counseling and got Mech, IITI, changed to CSE after an year.
