Well the speciality of BITS Pilani is that every student can choose his/her timetable upto some extent. Let me explain, in the first year you have to do all the mandatory courses which is same for everyone(single degree and dual degree students) but there will options as to which section you want to go(generally there will be two different timings with 4~5 section in each slot timing) so the student gets to choose his/her teacher. So all the students will have same no. of classes viz. about 30 per week and no. of classes per day will be according to the student’s choice. In my case i chose a slightly distributed timetable in which i had 4–6 classes per day. You can also choose to have 8–9 classes for two/three days and a single class on the rest of the days.
PS: In most of the courses attendance is not compulsory 😉
