Placements are good. Predominantly the big numbers come from first three companies namely TCS, Wipro and IBM. Though other companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc come, but the numbers are fairly less.
If you have more than 7.5 Cgpa, you will get direct interview for TCS.
Core Companies like TI, Hyundai, Ford, Paypal, etc do come but their numbers are usually less than 5.
I was lucky enough to get through IBM and Hyundai then. But didn’t join both!
Avg IT company salary then 3.5 to 4 LPA.
Avg Core Companies 7 to 8 LPA. Then in 2011, the highest package was around 12 LPA.
Now I hear the numbers go upto 20LPA.
