The opportunity for a branch change depends majorly on two factors- your CGPA for the first two semesters and the branch you want to change to.
So is it gonna be easy? Hell no, if you are aiming for branches like CSE, ISE or ECE. There are a lot of bright minds, toiling and hoping for the same. The competition is gonna be cut-throat and the cutoffs are gonna be rocketing.
That being said, it’s not impossible altogether. With unshaken determination and smart study, you can achieve your required branch change.
As for the other branches, the competition is pretty moderate, cutoffs are decent.
If you are from management quota, the scenario is completely different and depends on how deep pocketed you are.
