This is a bit of broad question . It’s difficult to prepare in just 6-8 month but not impossible
So i will now try to address the question how to prepare in 6-8 months from a scratch
First thing be ready to do hardwork. From the day you are reading this you should not be wasting single day
First thing you can do is give a Grand test on the very first day of preparation ( marrow mock are the closet thing resembling to actual exam ) just to get a broad idea where you stand. ( Believe me from here you are going to go up only )
Now that you have your scores Let’s start
First understand that doing all 19 sub class note is neither doable not practical if you have not done it previously
So Start with revision notes / revision videos ( as i used marrow for my preparation i am familiar with the quality and content of it and it’s pretty much sufficient , like i can say Rohan Khandelwal sir’s surgery covers everything important , if you need some detailed explanation you can always go to main notes ) ( Likewise Sakshi ma’am obgyn revision is awesome )
First Do the sub you are performing bad in grand test and make a list of all sub you are going to do in that order
( Give priority to patho/pharma /micro/ psm / surgery / obgyn /1st year ) later on rest subject
You can do main notes for short subject and others depending on time
Side by side start solving neet previous year question(PYQ ) from marrow. Read detailed explanation bookmark if any pearl is attached ( one should do Neet modules first after that INICET )
DO ALL PYQ AT LEAST 3 TIMES (i will recommend marrow for PYQ )
Custom modules of marrow is another amazing feature that you can use. As i have been a plan C user of marrow since my final year i can say that questions in marrow is most accurate in predicting difficulty and with best possible explanation . I will suggest practice at least of 40-50 questions a day with different tags to develop mcq solving habit and improving your guesses in exam
Bookmark pearls of marrow (around 500) which are annoted in PYQ /GT . Do revise them throughout your preparation. You can revise just this bookmarked perals 2-3 days prior to exam day
give GT 15-20 days solve Gts (no point of giving if you can’t solve) close to exam 2 GT at least /month . Analyse where you are making mistakes if still you are making recall mistakes ( like you feel you have heard of question in GT but not able to rule out 2 answers ) then revise…revise .revise . ..do not think of increasing content or doing other source untill you are making very less recall mistakes .
Do not give GT withiin last 15 days of exams ( never evaluate yourself in last time of preparation be confident and read what you are reading )
Revision is the key . Do only that much what you can revise at least twice/ thrice
Retrospective method of study
Do previous year question make a list of topics repeated / or side by side solve them from your main note or revision note ( works best for huge subject like medicine )
So to summarise
Keep your sub short but High yeilding , revise enough , practice enough , be confident , be consistent and more importantly enjoy the process , result will follow ….
Thank you and best wishes 😊
