How difficult is it getting a branch transfer in BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus? What are the requirements?

Vertical and Horizontal transfer have already been described  Coming from BITS Hyderabad, I would elaborate on getting a branch transfer in Hyderabad campus.
Vertical Transfer (or, ‘Verti’ , as we call it) is a tough nut to crack. You have to be on your toes all through the first year (sometimes missing the college fests also), you need to remain focused on the academics and try to a get a minimum CGPA of about 9.7-9.8(though nobody can be sure of it).
