How are the campus placements in VIT (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology) Pune? What was the recent highest package and Average and lowest package offered branch wise?

As VIT, Pune is counted as one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra, placements here are really good.

But to be honest, there are stark inequalities.

If you belong to branches like- Computer, IT, E&TC – you will have many options to choose from. The highest package offered in 2017–18 was 37.8 lakhs per annum by Microsoft(3 students got placed). But most of the companies offer salary packages between 4.5 to 7 lakhs per annum. Some students do opt for higher studies. Few students do get pre-placements-offer from internship companies. These guys are most comfortable people as far as jobs are concerned.

But placements for – Mech, Chem, Instrumentation, Production, Industrial – don’t have good prospects. Most of the students have to apply for non-core, IT-based, sales companies. Packages offered to this branch are also not good compared to Comp, IT. So the majority of students of these branches either take any job they ger or opt for higher studies, PSU’s(very tough competitions).
