Since I have been researching about the Indian engineering education system for last 10 years hence I have an accurate answer to this question.
I have been observing the placement stats of all such Indian engineering colleges for last 10 years and I have noticed that they all are fraud and are manipulated.
There is no meaning of highest-lowest-average package from any Indian engineering college because all the Indian engineering colleges, including IITs, lie about their placement stats.
Since Indian engineering curriculum is 40 years old hence there is no demand of any engineering degree holders in the industry and this is the reason that, I take the news of any Indian engineering graduate getting 5+ LPA package with a pinch of salt.
