Yes I qualified GATE with a decent rank while pursuing final year in SRM University Ece branch in 2018. Although the role college played in qualifying GATE is very little. SRM gives a lot of exposure and research facilities if one knows how to make use of the opportunities it can be beneficial but I would not link it to GATE
There are coaching classes such as TIME and The gate academy which conduct classes on campus and provide necessary study material. Therefore there were students who had qualified when I was in my final year. Also there were many who took a drop after college and got great rank.
