I joined IIT (ISM) Dhanbad for M Tech in 2018 in Computer science and Engineering (Specialization in information Security) after completing my B Tech from a state govt. college. I was offered a job in Wipro with a package of 3.2 lpa which obviously I did not join.
So my story after joining. Firstly I was amazed to be in such a good campus with such a wonderful atmosphere and environment. Our session started on 31st July. By the third week of August, conpanies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung R&D came for internship. I cracked the coding rounds and got selected in the interviews for 2 month’s internship at Samsung R&D, Bangalore which would offer me a stipend of 50K per month (almost double than that I would have got if I joined Wipro). I was the only one from M Tech batch to grab a 2 month’s internship, and became a star overnight. 😎
I struggled a bit in the 1st semester in the academics because the system here was way different from my B Tech college and studies wasn’t that easy. However, I scored good enough to continue my stipend after 1st sem (u don’t get stipend if u score below 7 GPA). I picked up the studies better in the 2nd semester and scored much better. So, the academics was quite good.
