We went on behalf of our daughter, for day 1 Category 1, counselling to VIT Vellore. Our time slot was 11 am to 2 pm.
From Bangalore, we took the morning Shatabdi express and reached Katpadi junction around 9.15am. ( Vellore VIT is only 2.5 kms from Katpadi railway station) . Got out from the train, took an auto and reached the campus in just 5 mins. Those who want to stay back should try to book their guest house which is well maintained and decent! Book it early, though!!
When we entered the first auditorium, the display board had a lot of vacancies in all branches. My daughter’s rank was 5396. After nearly 40 mins we were told to shift to another bigger Auditorium which roomed nearly 3000 people I think. It was a really really long wait from then. Our turn came at around 3.30pm. By then almost all CSE seats were full. My daughter wanted CSE with Business system and luckily few seats were available. Look at the status of the seats after our admission.
