- Campus: The institute has a large lush green campus spread over an an area of about 400 acres.
And not just this, it is the only IIT to reside inside a full-fledged university covering more than 1300 acres of land itself which takes it to the list of largest residential universities in Asia.
It is one of the very few campuses of India designed in Indo-Gothic architecture.
- Diversity: Being an IIT, it is very much obvious to have students from each and every corner of India.
But the fact is that if we take JEE into consideration, it admits widest range of students based on their ranks. Where opening rank is as high as 600, closing rank goes to 7300 which accounts for the diversity among students.
