Because most of these rankings are garbage anyway. The parameters they use
to judge a college’s worth only sound good on paper but do not carry any
real world significance. Student intake , number of campuses, campus size,
number of professors, number of hostels, number of students placed and many other
random irrelevant factors are used to judge these colleges. Some even use bloated
placement figures without doing in depth research by checking the actual records.
Worse, some of these rankings are bogus because many private institutions
pay them off to rank their colleges higher so that they can profit from
herd mentality of students. These rankings have become paid advertisements
for many such colleges
>I am not saying that all are completely biased and inaccurate , but most of them are. So do a bit of research yourself and dont take these rankings for fact. Some surveys are genuine and the writers put some actual effort in them.
