I’m currently pursuing Chemical engineering from the Dubai campus, and have completed my first year.
If you were to compare all the Indian campuses of BITS Pilani with the Dubai campus, one would underestimate the latter one mainly because the Indian campuses offer much better placements as compared to the Dubai campus.
As per my knowledge, from various inputs from seniors, undergrads usually prefer to go for masters in engineering or MBA (mostly in the United States) rather than taking up a job. Those who have already decided they want to opt for masters, would appreciate the degree offered by BITS Dubai rather than criticising or underestimating it.
Also there isn’t any difference in the degree offered, irrespective of the campus.
What I have also learnt in one year, is that you find a lot of people who have a opinion that the campus isn’t worth spending your four years (maybe because the other international university campuses are much better than ours, and many other reasons along with that). There are also people who instead of wasting their time on such things indulge in making their CVs better to get somewhere better. Among such people are people who just don’t know how the AC switch for their room works
