Why do you choose the PSU over highly paid IT jobs?

I am working in NTPC since August 2011. I was placed thru campus recruitment. I choose NTPC because of the following reason:

1. Job security- a govt job. Self explainetary.
2. High initial pay- with respect to software industry some PSUs offer high salaru in initial years.
3. Medical benefit to family including parents.
4. Leaves- NTPC gives me 12 CL, 6 RH, 8GH, 10 SAL, 16LL, 30EL AND 20 HPL.
5. I know nothing about software coding.
