Before coming to Bennett University, I had a choice between Manipal University, Jaipur & SRM University, Delhi-NCR for CSE and SRM, Kattankulathur for IT. I am really passionate about doing CSE and I didn’t want to do IT. So shortlisted ones were MUJ & SRM NCR.
I was still making up my mind on two of them, then one fine day I was surfing the net casually and somehow I saw Bennett University’s ad. I decided to explore it as I found it interesting. When I researched about it I was quite impressed with it. Even though it was a new university, I trusted Times Of India’s brand reputation.
I found the curriculum (which is specially curated by Gerogia Tech) very unique for a university in India and I found it better than the other ones. I was also impressed by the tie-ups they were having and the idea of spending 1 semester abroad as an exchange student in one of the reputed universities of the world fascinated me. The faculty (who were very experienced and mostly from IITs and other reputed universities) seemed very good to me. When I visited the site, I saw the potential the campus had when it would be fully ready. I was impressed with the hostel block (one of the important things to see especially when you are away from home) and the academic block. Also as our batch was the first one, the strength was less for first year. It would have helped the faculty to concentrate better on students.
While most colleges are still teaching C++ for one year, I came to know that Bennett University will teach Python in 1st semester & Java in 2nd semester. I became excited by this and it definitely played a big decision in joining BU.
Today when I look back, I feel deciding to join Bennett University has been the best decision that I have ever made!
