First,of all it’s not unversity anymore. Second, regarding the negative comments about it, I would like to say that during counseling they’ll say lot of good things about themselves. In freshmen year , everything will look fine.
But as years roll by, you’ll see that apart from attending classes from 8.00 a.m to 4p.m there isn’t much to do here. Resources provided by the college is incommensurate with the no. of students enrolled. Also, the technical teams in the college aren’t the way they are projected to be. Once you reach here , you’re on your own. It’s just an expensive and ordinary college which isn’t affordable for people who earn a decent income. And to do projects under teachers you need to have a good GPA. Your GPA defines you here.
Food quality is one of the many reasons SRM is denounced by it’s students. Tasteless food is ubiquitous at mess. There’s not a day when you can say the food they serve is up to the mark. The reason is that in order to give free food and accommodation to scholarship students they deteriorate the food quality for most of us.
If I’ m asked about how SRM helped me, I’d say I’m all because of my own efforts.
Hope that helps. And if there’s still a chance , don’t opt for engineering. There are many avenues to choose from.
