Which one is the better engineering college among RV Bangalore, VIT Vellore, and SRM University?

First of all, we can remove SRM from this list as it appears nowhere in comparison to RV College and VIT Vellore.

Now, between RVCE and VIT Vellore, it is actually quite a tough call. There are many factors which make a college either a boon or a bane, such as placements, peer groups, research facilities, overall exposure, return on investment (to some extent), students’ freedom, etc. Both the colleges score almost same points in all the criteria.

However, exposure is better in VIT Vellore as you will find literally all types of people there, from different geographies in India and from different merit. This, will surely help us in our growth. I improved my English significantly after going to VIT. On the other hand, students’ freedom is way better in RVCE (which can also be a bane sometimes considering how easily young people can fall prey to the glitz and glamour of Bangalore culture) and overall expense is a bit less in RVCE as compared to VIT.

So, my suggestion is if can spend slightly extra amount (maybe 2–2.5 lakhs extra maximum) and ready to come to terms with slightly strict rules for students (details of rules you can easily find on other quora answers), then choose VIT else go for RVCE.

Hope that helped!
