Which one is better, SNU or Bennett University?

Being a 2nd year Computer Science and Engineering undergraduate at Bennett University, I have listed below few points that may help you get a clear picture of Bennett University. These points are in reference to the School of Computer Science Engineering and Technology, Bennett University.

  1. Academics and Faculty – Here the curriculum is designed as per the industry’s requirements and is future-oriented. The academics mainly focus on futuristic technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Machine Learning, IoT, Genetic Research, Bioinformatics, Big Data, DevOps, Blockchain, and much more. Talking about Computer Science Engineering, here equal importance to both theory and hands-on training is given for the course. The focus is on Experiential and Applied Learning through practical exposure, thereby giving the students a unique edge. The faculty here is highly qualified and quite supportive. Time-to-time assessments and exams are given at the Codezinger platform, where the students could apply the learnings of the lectures in a more practical way. The students here are also encouraged to practice more on different coding platforms like Codechef which helps them gain an edge over others.
  2. Placements – In 2020-21, almost 176 organizations participated in placements in Bennett University which included Adobe, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, TATA and many more technology giants being the key recruiters. With the average package being ₹9.46 lakhs, it would be safe to say that placements are pretty decent at Bennett University. In spite of the slump induced by COVID-19 almost 1 in 3 students at Bennett were placed above ₹10 lakhs.
  3. Infrastructure – The infrastructure comprises cutting edge audio visual and video-conferencing facilities that include overhead projectors, LCDs, fixed cameras and touch-pad systems enable a modern teaching and learning approach. The class rooms, comprising lecture theaters, discussion/tutorial rooms /executive lounges are equipped with broadband communications networks, ensuring global connectivity.
  4. Specialized Electives and Open Electives – The School of Computer Science Engineering and Technology, currently offers two different types of electives, Specialized Electives and Open Electives. Talking about Specialized Electives, all the specializations have their lists or buckets of specialization electives. Every student is allowed to flexibly choose at most three electives from their specialization list. There are a total of 9 different specializations, out of which each and every specialization has about 10-20 electives to offer. So you can infer that a student is provided with so many options and he/she can flexibly excel in his/her area of interest which is by far the best factor.
Now let’s talk about Open Electives, these courses are University-wide courses from different schools affiliated with the university. With a total of 12 credits, a student in Computer Science Engineering can choose a course from an open elective list of School of Law or Media or Management or Engineering to be taken as an open elective. Applications of AI, Linux Apache MySQL PHP (LAMP), Semantic
