Considering Computer and IT branch while filling options for a CAP round, I will suggest, keep priorities as..
1. City
2. College
3. Branch.
I do not have the exact stats but there are very less differences in Computers and IT branch syllabus. And considering the future career, it depends where your experience kick starts from.
Regarding the priorities, yes City matters. If you learn in city where there are maximum employment opportunities of your field that’s a better scenario. You will get lot many opportunities in start of career only.
And similarly college matters as the placement opportunities/ curriculur and extra curricular activities do vary.
