According to the recent trends- getting a seat in MD general medicine at a top institute is more difficult than anything else. The toppers seem to have certain liking for internal medicine, and truly so- this field demands a lot of hard work and patience ( not like the others dont).
But talking strictly about the subjects ( considering that your choice of college is flexible and optional .. and you dont mind a sub standard college or peripheral college)—
The following order is followed
- Radiology — most difficult to get in, and promises you the best life in the shortest span of time provided you work hard wherever you are.
- Dermatology- less interventions. More scope in big cities.
- General medicine — the wonder branch. The know it all. A lot of hardwork and time is required.
