I know quite a number of my friends who have gotten clinical branches in good colleges in the very first attempt via Govt quota. And then there are others who have got good ranks but still decided to drop a year as they wanted to get into the Top colleges. And what I’ve noticed is that they were all very consistent in their preparation. Many of them had started PG prep from 3rd year itself. Even during internship, while the rest of us were relaxing after a long duty or during the breaks in between, these guys were actually revising, solving questions and discussing with others. And as we all know, Hardwork pays off!
P.S: I did not bother to study during that time as I had already planned to drop a year for preparing. Although I gave NEET PG 2019 with absolutely ‘Zero’ preparation, still ended up qualifying (it came as a shocker) with a rank of 36K. And now preparing for NEET PG 2020.
