Which is the toughest branch in engineering, ECE, CS, or mechanical?

  • 0

Why are you asking – do you want the challenge of the most difficult branch, or to know which might be the easiest? There are many branches of engineering, and each is a very different kind of work. The branch you’ll find the toughest is the one that doesn’t fit your natural interests and strengths. The most important factors in success in any chosen career are:

  • It’s something you find interesting and enjoyable
  • It uses your specific talents and abilities

If your only criteria for choosing is which is the toughest, or easiest, maybe engineering isn’t a good choice for you at all. If it is, think about what you’re interested in and enjoy working with. Also think about your particular aptitudes: computers, mechanical design, electrical projects or other. Think about the kinds of projects you could work on day after day and never get bored. Then you can make an intelligent choice.

If you choose the branch that’s right for you, it’ll be the easiest at school, and you’ll be motivated, productive and successful at work. Everyone you ask will have an opinion, but nobody knows you better than you do. What’s not to like about doing what you like and getting paid for it?
