The kind of books you read depend on the target that you have set for yourself.
So if you aim for a good rank and an actually good score, then-
1. Go for solving H.C. Verma in Physics followed by MTG NCERT @ your fingertips. And finally the previous year questions. The level of Physics is increasing each year and both these books are well equipped to cater all your fundamental needs to develop the concepts and solve questions quicker.
2. NCERT books for chemistry are the best when it comes to Pre Medical exams. Pair the physical chemistry part with questions from previous years and Allen study Material. The inorganic chemistry needs to be mugged up from the NCERT and no J.D. Lee or some other fancy book beats jt in any way. Period. Strss on the G.O.C. part of organic chemistry because its the portion that comprises most of the questions in organic chemistry. A bit of extra knowledge in Organic chemistry always helps.
3. NCERT biology grouped with Biology @ fingertips handbook by Rahul Chawla (Galgotia Publications) and questions from Dr. Ali is more than enough. The handbook is precisely written and is actually derived from the notes if a student so it helps in easy understanding of the subject. The questions in Dr. Ali are appropriate and to the point.
